HR & Recruitment Officer (Maternity Cover)

37.5 hours per week - Full-time
Working times: 8.00am-4.00pm
Required from 20th May 2019 until 19th May 2020 or the return of the postholder,
whichever is sooner.

Purpose of the role

We are looking for a bright and highly organised HR and Recruitment Officer to
play a key role working within the CST team. The Trust is growing and developing
significantly; the post holder will be crucial in providing a key support service to all
Trust schools.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful, growing Trust, offering a varied
and challenging role, requiring calm efficiency, an eye for detail and good humour,
and the ability to build strong and positive relationships with all schools in the Trust.
The ideal candidate will be confident to take the initiative and contribute to the
development of the HR and Recruitment department as the Trust grows.
This position is currently based in Bristol Cathedral Choir School at our central Trust
offices, located in the centre of Bristol.


You will work closely with the Trust Operations Manager and Finance Manager, as
well as individual school Business Managers and Head Teachers, to provide HR
advisory and recruitment support, ensuring consistent and effective HR
administration across the Trust. You will be able to explain policies and procedures
accurately and in a timely manner. You will also oversee recruitment for a number of
Trust schools, providing advice and support to the part time HR and Recruitment
Administrator. The successful candidate will be joining a small, welcoming team who
work closely together and enjoy supporting one another.
